Pandharpur is the destination of the Warkari tradition. The palkhis of Dnyaneshwar and Tukaram arrive in Ashadh. Darshan of Viththal is joined to a bath in the Chandrabhaga. To hear an abhang is to understand this tirth.
On wari days the road belongs to walkers. Trust a car less. On ordinary days darshan is quiet and deep. If you do not know Marathi, ask the meaning of the abhang. The kirtan makes room.
