Sundarkand Path
The chapter of the Ramcharitmanas in which Hanuman reaches Sita.
When
Many houses read it on Tuesday or Saturday. Any quiet day will do.
Sundarkand is read alone or in a gathering. Hanuman's journey, the crossing of the sea, and the message to Sita are a story of courage and service. The Manas is in Awadhi. Hearing the meaning keeps the path alive.
The book should be the family's own. The text is not copied here, so the line is not broken. Pratishthaan explains how to set the room, and how children can hear the meaning.
This is a general introduction. Sequence, materials, and timing change with family, region, and shakha. Your priest and your own custom have the last word.
